All you need to know about the Harry Potter reunion happening soon
Gear up for the perfect surprise to the New Year’s Eve – A Return to Hogwarts
Yes, you heard that right, the magic is about to happen within no time at the 20th anniversary Harry Potter cast reunion, titled ‘Return to Hogwarts’; almost after a decade has passed since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was released (are we that old already?)
HBO Max has confirmed the special episode will be streamed at midnight on 1 January 2022. The author of the series J. K. Rowling will not be able to attend because of unknown reasons.
But the cherry on the top is, we will be able to see the iconic trio of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson accompanied by filmmaker Chris Columbus. Along with the huge list of cast members from all eight films including Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Imelda Staunton (Umbridge), Tom Felton (Draco), James Phelps (Fred Weasley), Oliver Phelps (George Weasley), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), and Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), and many more. As if this wasn’t enough, here HBO dropped a trailer, taking us down memory lane back in 2002.
Many cast members proclaimed about this event, with Emma Watson jotting down a heartfelt note along with throwback pictures with the trio of Harry, Ron and Hermione and one with the whole cast and crew. She acknowledged how lucky she is, referring that Harry Potter was her home, family, world and Hermione (still is) her favorite fictional character of all time. She also congratulated Potterheads on the 20th Anniversary, thanking her fans for their support, and mentioned how she missed her crew. She also said that she is just so proud of who everyone has become as a person and that they held up something meaningful.
