Pakistan’s tech industry is all set for disruption with the fourth edition of 021 Disrupt, this time, Wired.
Hosted by the Nest I/O, 021 Disrupt has been creating waves in the tech and entrepreneurial community for four years now and continues to be one of the most looked forward to event in the industry. Usually a two-day conference, it’s always jam-packed with talks from national and international industry leaders, workshops in multiple domains, investor roundtables, office hours including chats with industry experts, networking opportunities, and much, much more.
In its previous run, the conference hosted 1100+ attendees, including 600+ startups with 55+ investors in Office Hours, garnering a digital reach of 90 million audiences across social media and investments brought in ticket sizes ranging from $20,000 to $7 million. But this year’s expected to be bigger.
That’s right. Because the conference will be held virtually in 2020, it’ll give everyone a chance to experience the disruptive innovation and technology it brings to the industry and will host 5000+ disruptors in the entrepreneurial, technology, and digital ecosystem of Pakistan.
The conference will also include:
- 60+ international and local speakers from diverse industry sectors,
- 30+ investors and mentors for one-to-one conversations,
- 500+ startups across Pakistan
Speaking about the conference, President [email protected] and Founder of the Nest I/O, Jehan Ara shares, “After several months of intense activity, we’re really excited to launch 021Disrupt 2020. It is our flagship yearly event and a lot of passion, love, and effort goes into making it a reality. Each year we’re humbled and grateful for the response we get from our community.’
‘This year has been a challenging year for startups and professionals alike. As responsible citizens, we made a decision early on to make 021Disrupt 2020 a virtual event. This will not only keep our participants and speakers safe, it will also enable participation from all over the world making it an even more vibrant event. We can’t wait to have you join us!”
Speakers and more…
021 Disrupt has always had an impressive speaker lineup; it was what made me attend the conference back in 2018. This year’s no different. Joining the speaker lineup are global voices including Guy Kawasaki – Chief Evangelist Canva, Mary Grove – Managing Partner, Bread and Butter Ventures, Chris Yeh – Cofounder, The Global Scaling Academy, Mudassir Sheikha – CEO & Co-Founder Careem, Durdana Achakzai – Group Director Digital Transformation & Chief Digital Officer, Vodaphone UK, William Bao Bean – General Partner SOSV and various other venture capitalists!
And while the international speaker lineup is spectacular in itself, the national voices at the forefront of this year’s disruption are no less, including Muhammad Aurangzeb – President & CEO HBL, Ghias Khan – CEO & President, Engro Corporation, Amir Paracha – CEO & Chairman, Unilever Pakistan, Muneeb Maayr, – Founder & CEO Bykea, Rabeel Warraich – Founder & CEO Sarmayacar, Aatif Aawan – Founding Managing Partner Indus Valley Capital and Mashhood Rastgar – Chief Technology Officer, SastaTicket.pk.
This year’s disruptive technology and innovation has been sponsored by HBL and is set to provide a virtual, albeit immersive experience to all the attendees with an opportunity to engage, partner, co-create, and invest in the future of technology and innovation in Pakistan.
