We started seeing films in the 2000s that went beyond the tale of a princess meeting her prince, living happily ever after, adventurous cartoons, and other types. We have also seen some extraordinary movies that brought values and lessons with them. Below is the list of such movies which gave us lessons in life:

Finding Nemo (2003):

Finding Nemo is an adorable movie about a small baby clownfish named Nemo, who gets separated from his dad. The movie shows a strong relationship between father and son, it also shows the audience it is fine to get out of your comfort zone and never judge a book by its cover, be kind to everyone.

Mulan 2 (2002):

Mulan is a superb idol for young girls. In this movie, she takes things into her own hands and fights for her rights and freedom. She fully trusts herself and has faith in herself and also encourages others to do so. Despite all the challenges society constantly throws at you, Mulan teaches you how to be strong and how to take a stand for your own self.

Ratatouille (2007):

Remi is an incredible rat with highly developed senses and enjoys both food and life. He was inspired by a popular chef named Gusteau in Paris. Remy’s father didn’t embrace his dream of becoming a chef and getting close to humans, yet he still believed in pursuing a life in the cooking world. In the end, he succeeded. This movie teaches that despite what everyone thinks or says, follow your own dreams, instincts, and pursue your passion. Always keep in mind that you are your own enemy and that you are determining your limits.

Frozen (2013):

When it was released in 2013, it was a great success. The movie tells the story of Anna who goes on an adventure to find Elsa, her sister and break the spell that has left her kingdom frozen. The tale teaches the value of family and that in addition to many other lessons, you should never be afraid to be you.

Tangled (2010):

This story reveals that it can be nerve-wracking and daunting to perform activities you’re not familiar with. But we have to learn to accept the unknown and have the confidence to try something new to develop and evolve as a person. You are never sure of what your new potential could be.
